Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology or related field with coursework in social work, child development, counseling, or psychology.
• Minimum of two years experience in family social services setting preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive family situations professionally and maintain boundaries.
• Knowledge of early childhood education and intervention preferred.
• Computer literacy with word processing, e-mail and internet.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Record all family information including family contacts into manual and computerized records within two work days of visit.
• Establish a comprehensive record for each assigned child/family and expectant mother at the start of each school year.
• Input enrollment dates/drop dates within one working day of enrollment/drop.
• Document and track follow-up needs, goals, and health/dental/nutrition/hearing/vision concerns.
• Submit all records and invoices for services to Center Administrator as required.
• Notify Center Administrator of attendance concerns or issues affecting service delivery.
• Report, document, and monitor child abuse and neglect.
