Job summary

Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Family Coach (Human Services Case Manager) to support families toward independence. This bilingual Spanish-preferred role offers a 5% differential if language skills are demonstrated after testing, and the work is centered in community-based settings, including Ashland.

Provide strength-based coaching, assess needs, and connect clients with employment resources, education, and community supports.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a related field.
• One year of human services related experience with individuals or groups.
• An associate degree in Behavioral/Social Science with two years of related experience.
• Three years of human services related experience.

Responsibilities

• Empower families to achieve independence through strength-based coaching and partnerships with ODHS and community partners.
• Conduct assessments and set collaborative goals to reduce reliance on public assistance.
• Develop individualized coaching and employment plans emphasizing education and work experiences.
• Identify transferable skills, facilitate job training, and refer to community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning for individuals experiencing domestic violence.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment services and resources for tailoring referrals.
