Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services in Ashland is seeking a Family Coach (Human Services Case Manager) with Spanish language preference. This permanent, full-time position offers a salary range of $5,193 to $6,904 per month, with a 5% bilingual differential upon passing a language test.

Provide strength-based coaching to families transitioning to independence, collaborate with community partners, and assess needs to promote stability and self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or closely related field.
• Alternatively, Bachelor's degree in any field with 1 year human services experience.
• An associate degree in Behavioral/Social Science or related field with 2 years of experience.
• Three years of human services related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered, strength-based coaching to families and partner with ODHS programs and community providers for resources.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and set collaborative goals to support independence.
• Collaborate with adults to develop individualized coaching and employment plans focusing on education and work experiences.
• Identify employability barriers and connect participants to training, job opportunities, and referrals.
• Use motivational interviewing to inspire confidence and persistence toward employment goals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment services and community resources to tailor referrals.
