Job summary

The Family Tree is seeking an GOFCC Coach / Technical Assistance Specialist to guide individuals from interest to licensed Family Child Care providers. You will support licensing, business development, and Maryland EXCELS participation, ensuring high-quality programs.

This role emphasizes hands-on coaching, relationship building, workshops, and collaboration with partners to expand access to quality child care across Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of required 45-hour Child Development and Curriculum courses.
• Experience in early childhood education settings and licensing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end coaching from application to licensure.
• Monitor progress and hold participants to timelines.
• Guide participants in building sustainable family child care businesses.
• Facilitate workshops and trainings (in person and virtual).
• Conduct outreach to recruit participants and partner with community organizations.
• Represent GOFCC at events and collaborate with the Office of Child Care.
• Travel to participants’ homes for coaching sessions.
• Accurately document work in the MCCRN data system.
