Job summary

The Family Tree seeks a GOFCC Coach / Technical Assistance Specialist to expand access to high-quality child care by guiding Maryland families through licensing and program development. You will coach participants from interest to licensure with urgency, accountability, and care.

Responsibilities include navigating the licensing process, building sustainable FCC businesses, promoting Maryland EXCELS participation, and launching high-quality programs while traveling to participants’ homes and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
Completion of required 45-hour Child Development and Curriculum courses.
Minimum 5 years in early childhood education settings with licensing experience preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and community outreach abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide end-to-end coaching from application to licensure.
Monitor progress and hold participants to timelines.
Guide participants in building sustainable FCC businesses.
Facilitate workshops and trainings (in person and virtual).
Conduct community outreach and recruit participants.
Build relationships with community organizations and partners.
Represent GOFCC at events and meetings; liaise with Office of Child Care.
Travel to participants’ homes for coaching sessions.
Document work in MCCRN data system; track licensure, training, and EXCELS participation.
