Job summary

Legacy Funeral Group in Kansas is seeking an Assistant Funeral Director to support the Location Manager, delivering compassionate customer service and coordinating funeral services.

You will work with the Funeral Director to ensure respectful handling of remains, assist with ceremonies, licensing requirements, and adherence to company policies. The role requires physical activity, strong communication, teamwork and a commitment to ethical service.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school education.
• Completion of a diploma training program in Funeral Services.
• Must have or obtain a Kansas Assistant Funeral Director license.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies professionally and with care.
• Retain market share through community involvement.
• Ensure respectful handling of remains and compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Assist with funeral services including supervision of parking, ushering, driving vehicles and coordinating at chapel, cemetery and related activities.
• Promote a safe work environment and adhere to licensing rules and regulations.
• Complete and accurate preparation of documents related to services and data entry.
• Perform general office duties and maintain vehicles and facilities as required.
