Salary Range: $15.00 To $20.00 Hourly
The Assistant Funeral Director reports to the Location Manager. He/She provides customer service in all areas of helping our families achieve peace following the loss of a loved one. The Assistant Funeral Director works closely with the Funeral Director and while not taking care of all of the family’s needs, contribute at a more significant level than the Funeral Attendant in ensuring fulfillment of the Family’s death care needs. State or provincial law may require a license to perform these duties.

They are accountable for servicing families in a professional and timely manner. Respectful service and attention to customer needs are integral to a continued relationship with the family. The Assistant Funeral Director duties must be performed consistently with the company's mission and values and in adherence to company policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities
Experience and Educational Requirements
Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
Professional Dress is required when in contact with families
Drive company owned vehicles, with and without passengers, in surrounding community with varying traffic conditions
Work Postures
Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per day
Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 200 pounds
Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers, and phone usage
