Job summary

The State of Indiana seeks a Family Case Manager in Avon to protect children from abuse and neglect, keep families safely intact where possible, and pursue permanent homes or independent living for reunification cases. You will conduct home visits, develop plans, coordinate with partners, and testify as needed across Hendricks County and surrounding areas.

Please bring a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human services, plus strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent
• Associates plus required experience acceptable
• Commitment to protecting children and families in social services
• Ability to manage casework with accuracy and sensitivity

Responsibilities

• Investigate reported incidents of child abuse or neglect and make recommendations for disposition
• Assess risk and determine safety planning for children in the home
• Develop case plans and coordinate with community resources
• Attend court hearings and prepare reports for case files
• Conduct home visits and track progress toward permanency or reunification
• Maintain required documentation and ensure data quality for program reporting
