Job summary

Options Counseling and Family Services is seeking a Family Builder/Parenting Skills Developer for the Newport, Oregon location. The role provides services to families at risk of out‑of‑home placement, offering skills training and collaborative planning with ODHS to support child safety and family stability.

The position is full‑time (40 hours/week) with travel up to 25% and requires a valid Oregon driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work flexible hours including

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience with at-risk families
• ODHS background check and/or fingerprinting
• Valid Oregon driver’s license
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance
• Maintain client confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Direct service to families to ensure child safety and well‑being
• Collaborate with ODHS using evidence‑based practices
• Coordinate case activities and attend meetings
• Document safety concerns and maintain client records
• Travel locally to client homes as needed

Skills
