Job summary

Hire Up Recruiting is assisting a premier childcare center in Grants, NM to hire a Family and Community Service Specialist. This direct-hire, full-time role supports leadership in family engagement and community partnerships.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, year-round, with duties including coordinating family activities, maintaining accurate records, and guiding families to community resources. Salaries range from $15.13 to $29.81 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or related certification is required.
• Experience in social, human or family services is preferred if educational requirements are not met.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support family and community engagement services.
• Maintain accurate case files, records and data in agency databases.
• Ensure timely completion of required documentation and monitor program compliance.
• Connect families with community resources and provide ongoing support and referrals.
• Plan and facilitate parent meetings, family engagement activities, and communications.
• Assist with recruitment, enrollment, eligibility, and application processing.
• Collaborate with center staff and community partners to support children and families.
• Participate in committees, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a genuine love for children, and a strong commitment to education.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED Education: Associate’s degree or Certification in Social, Human or Family Services, Case Management or related field
• REQUIRED Experience if you don\'t meet the educational requirements: 7 years of experience in Social, Human or Family Services, Case Management or related field WITH four years in a supervisory capacity.
• DesiredSkills: Data entry, familiar with computer programs, bilingual would be a plus! (Spanish), communication skills (written and spoken), and ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
• Strong knowledge of child development, early learning best practices, team leadership, and professional development/coaching
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• A genuine love for children and commitment to high-quality education
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations 2 e2; for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
• Must meet background check eligibility
