Responsibilities

  • Support development of curriculum and activities for programs including managing outside partnerships.
  • Establish referral relationships with other social service agencies and attend community coalition meetings.
  • Manage and expand parent engagement activities including the parent program committee, ESL classes, parent education series, and other parent and family support/engagement.
  • Ensure administrative functions such as check requests, scheduling, and program statistics are handled by appropriate staff.
  • Oversee database management for all children, youth and family programs alongside the Manager of Children, Youth and Family Programs.
  • Coordinate and oversee on-site and off-site set-up and logistics for community events alongside the Bilingual Outreach Advocate.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with school leadership/staff, community partners, and social service providers to meet family needs.
  • Follow trauma-informed approaches in work with clients and align with mission of Stewpot and FPC Dallas.
  • Assist Development team to identify opportunities for development and funding; assist with grants.

Job DetailsJob Location: DALLAS, TX 75201Position Type: Full TimeThe Family Advocate Case Manager reports and works with the Manager of Children, Youth, and Family Programs to lead individual and family programs including case management, budget/financial literacy, family stability, and partnership development. This position schedules the English as a Second Language teachers and childcare staff. They will also work with agency partners, volunteers and clients.

Essential Functions:
  • Support the development of curriculum and activities for programs including managing outside partnerships.
  • Establish referral relationships with other social service agencies and attend community coalition meetings.
  • Manage and expand parent engagement activities including the parent program committee, ESL classes, parent education series, and other parent and family support/engagement
  • Ensure administrative function such as check requests, scheduling and program statistics are handled, and deadlines met by appropriate staff
  • Oversee database management for all children, youth and family programs alongside the Manager of Children, Youth and Family Programs
  • Communicate with team to organize and manage assigned projects/events. Coordinate and oversee on-site and off-site set-up and logistics for community events alongside the Bilingual Outreach Advocate.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with school leadership/staff, community partners, and social service providers to ensure that the family's basic, social and psychological needs are met based on conducted assessments. Addressing underlying barriers to food security, beyond food access alone; including stability services (financial literacy education).
  • Ensure all members of the department are connected to the overall mission and vision of the Stewpot and FPC Dallas, while following a trauma - informed approach in their work with clients.
  • Work with the Manager of Children, Youth, and Family Program to ensure proper policies, procedures are developed, and client relations are maintained for the children, youth and families; additionally, evaluate programs and provide opportunities for client feedback.
  • Assist the Development team to identify opportunities for development and funding and assist with grant and individual requests.
