Job summary

Central Alabama Community College is seeking a FAME Program Coordinator to lead the FAME program, coordinate operations, recruit students, and foster employer partnerships while delivering instruction in alignment with college policies.

The role involves supervising Workforce Development staff, managing budgets and inventory, teaching courses, maintaining records, and coordinating industry events to enhance workforce readiness. Travel to multiple campus locations is required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Technical Education, Workforce Development, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in advanced manufacturing, industrial maintenance, automation, mechatronics, engineering technology, workforce development, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, workplace safety practices, and current industry standards is required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are required.
  • Ability to travel to and from all campus locations and attend activities and events is required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the FAME program and teach assigned courses per policy.
  • Supervise Workforce Development staff and ensure objectives.
  • Collaborate on budgets, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Develop partnerships with employers and communities.
  • Plan industry events, tours, and technical showcases.
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with accreditation.
  • Represent the College at recruitment events.
