Fall Play: Sound Designer and Operator Position Available

Total Compensation: $900

Fall Play Schedule: October 1- October 25, 2026

The Fall Production Sound Designer and Operator is responsible for the efficient creation, programming, and running of all audio elements and sound effects during the production's technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances.

Experience working with elementary through high school aged students in a theatrical setting
Strong ability and willingness to teach and mentor high school aged students who are interested in theatrical production
Experience with a variety of theatrical audio equipment, applications, and systems such as Yamaha CL Editor, Dante
Controller, QLab, and Shure Wireless Workbench
Very knowledgeable in theatrical audio protocol, production preparations, and system programming including programming
digital audio consoles in the Yamaha CL series
Strong skills in audio production paperwork and pre-production planning
Strong skills in communication
Quick thinker
Knowledgeable in theatrical terminology and methodologies
Skilled in theatrical microphone application, maintenance, and
Schedule to be discussed with Production Manager
Must be available for designer run, technical rehearsals, and performances
Must be able to meet physical demands of the postion
