Job summary

Northern Texas PGA is offering a 10-week internship focused on golf tournament operations during Fall 2026 in East Texas. You will assist with day-to-day operations of the Junior Tour and Foundation’s programs, receiving comprehensive training in tournament ops, event management, Rules of Golf, and professional development.

Responsibilities include pre-, on-, and post-tournament duties, scheduling, live scoring, and coordination with staff, players, and spectators, with an emphasis on teamwork

Qualifications

• Located in Tyler or Longview area is required.
• Pursuing a college degree or current student preferred.
• Must have access to automobile and willing to travel within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
• Insurance coverage through school or family is expected.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-tournament responsibilities: gather info, print docs, set up equipment/signage, golf course setup.
• Administer on-site tasks: player registration, starting, rules officiating, scoring, awards.
• Execute post-tournament tasks: submit reports, distribute results, tear-down equipment.
• Communicate effectively with host staff, junior golfers, parents, caddies and spectators.
• Manage tournament equipment, transport to/from venues, inventory reports, maintenance.
• Enforce Junior Tour Rules & Regulations including Rules of Golf and Pace of Play.
• Provide support to Section and Foundation operations on-site.
