Job summary

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's in Education with endorsement in the taught grade/subject and a valid Tennessee certificate; commitment to the entire Fall School period and participation in prep sessions are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with endorsement in the taught grade/subject and a valid Tennessee certificate.
• Commitment for the entire Fall School period is required.
• Must participate in preparatory planning sessions and district meetings.

Responsibilities

• Creates a Fall School environment conducive to learning and prepares instructional materials.
• Establishes classroom behavior standards and manages behavior inside and outside the school.
• Assesses student progress on an established timetable and provides written/oral reports to parents and administrators.
• Plans Fall School curriculum and prepares lessons to meet student needs per state requirements.
• Confers with parents and staff to develop educational programs for students.
• Creates learning materials tailored to students’ abilities and interests.
• Instructs using strategies to enhance sensory, motor, language, cognition, social, and emotional development.
• Motivates students and provides ongoing assessment and feedback.
• Maintains accurate records as required by laws and regulations.
• Assists administration in applying school policies and rules for student activities and conduct.
• Sponsors student activities/clubs/teams/tutors as requested.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
