The University of New Mexico invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Theatre and Dance to teach and/or develop Upper and Lower Division courses for Fall 2026. Anticipated subjects include Theatre Appreciation, Acting, Physical Theatre, Lighting, Sound, Dance Appreciation, Ballet, Modern, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Music for Dancers, Choreography, and Kinesiology.

Positions are contingent on enrollment and offerings; wages are based on credentials and credit hour loads.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications determined by accreditation requirements and must be met by one of the listed ways.
• Preferred qualifications include teaching/accompanist experience in a post-secondary institution.
• Commitment to cultural understanding and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Teach or develop courses in theatre and dance fields as needed.
• Report to the Department Chair and participate in department activities.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and course offerings for Fall 2026.
