Primary Purpose: Enable students to pursue their education with minimal interruption in the absence of the regularly assigned classroom teacher.
Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
Supervision of the classroom and students.
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress, exercise reasoning and problem‑solving skills while under stress. Communicate effectively both verbally, written and electronically. In a classroom setting, ability to monitor students to ensure they stay on task.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit, stand, move throughout the room and/or facility. Occasionally required to drive and travel to facilities within the district. May be required to position students, move and lift textbooks and other equipment. Requires lifting up to 25 pounds. Requires use of hands, arms, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl.
