Division/Department Information

The Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science provides undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Healthcare Informatics, and graduate programs in Computer Science, AI and Data Science, and Cyber and Information Security.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute a course outline to students in accordance with the syllabus.
  • Develop instructional materials—lectures, readings, assignments, exams, projects, etc.—that achieve the learning outcomes specified in the syllabus.
  • Evaluate student performance throughout the semester and give periodic, constructive feedback in a timely manner.
  • Be available to engage with students outside the classroom via email, phone, web conferencing, or face‑to‑face meetings.
  • Post final grades for each student within the timeframe required by the Provost's Office and be available for two weeks after the semester ends to discuss grades by email or phone.
  • Promptly respond to requests for information before, during, and after the course as required by the Division Chair and the CCPS Dean's Office.

Qualifications

All ranks require a master’s degree in the discipline or a related field. At the instructor level, relevant industry experience and college teaching experience are preferred. Assistant‑professor level requires college teaching experience. Associate‑professor level requires college teaching experience, with a doctorate in a related field preferred. Full‑professor level requires extensive college teaching experience and a doctorate in a related field.

Compensation

Adjunct Professor: $2,215

Adjunct Associate Professor: $2,009

Adjunct Assistant Professor: $1,906

Adjunct Instructor: $1,803
