Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Launch Engineer for Ground Support Equipment (Falcon) at Vandenberg to design, build, and activate hardware supporting Falcon 9 vehicle processing and integration. You will apply CAD/FEA tools, run hand calculations, and collaborate with engineers and technicians on high-stakes ground operations.

Responsibilities include lead design reviews, field testing, and ensuring equipment readiness to maintain 99%+ uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 1+ years of hands-on hardware fabrication, assembly, and/or testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and activate equipment to support launch site vehicle processing and launch.
• Support vehicle interfaces, structural and fluid connections, and ground support equipment.
• Lead design reviews and activation testing; serve as technical interface to customers and suppliers.
• Perform field tests and work with technicians on non-flight hardware (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Ensure ground system uptime to support flight hardware integration activities.
