Job summary

SpaceX in Long Beach seeks a Recovery Engineer to optimize processing of Falcon 9 boosters and fairings. You will own mission campaigns, develop procedures, and drive efficiency in recovery operations while coordinating with multiple teams and offshore missions as needed.

You will apply hands-on experience with ground support equipment and complex systems, ensure readiness, and help advance SpaceX's reusable flight hardware program in a demanding, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years developing and/or processing aerospace or aviation systems.

Responsibilities

• Own mission campaigns to process Falcon 9 boosters and fairings at the Port of Long Beach.
• Develop procedures, test plans, and operations concepts for processing flight hardware.
• Drive operations to reduce recovery costs and improve refurbishment timelines.
• Design, build, test new ground support equipment for recovery operations.
• Ensure hardware readiness including maintenance, spares, and testing.
• Coordinate with Launch Teams, Vehicle Refurbishment, and Ground Support teams.
