Job summary

Archdiocese of Seattle seeks a Pastoral Assistant for Faith Formation II to develop, implement, and direct a faith formation program for elementary students, including Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion.

The role requires collaboration with parish leadership, staff, and volunteers across All Saints, Puyallup and St. Martin of Tours, Fife, promoting inclusive family engagement within a diverse parish community.

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic with knowledge of Catholic teaching, sacraments, and catechetical methodology.
• Experience in catechesis, education, or parish ministry.
• Enthusiasm for sharing faith.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with clergy, staff, parents, and volunteers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, digital communication, and parish systems (training provided).
• Ability to lift/move program materials and support events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the pastoral leader, staff, and consultative bodies in implementing the mission of the parish family.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive faith formation plan for elementary students including Sacramental Preparation.
• Direct Baptismal and Sacramental Preparation programs (First Reconciliation and First Communion).
• Oversee planning meetings related to faith formation events, objectives, strategies, and goals.
• Manage the faith formation office and volunteers; provide administrative support for activities.
