Job summary

Our Lady of Pillar Catholic School is seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support classroom instruction and contribute to a nurturing, student-centered learning environment.

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the TA helps facilitate daily learning activities, supports student success, assists with classroom management, and promotes the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and lesson implementation.
• Provide academic support to individual students and small groups.
• Reinforce lessons through guided practice and educational activities.
• Help maintain a positive, safe, organized classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom management and encourage appropriate student behavior.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal.
• Prepare instructional materials, classroom resources, bulletin boards, and learning displays.
• Assist with grading, recordkeeping, and administrative tasks as directed.
• Support student assessments and classroom projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of student, family, and school information.
• Collaborate professionally with teachers, staff, students, and parents.
• Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
