Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written lesson plans and classroom procedures.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to supporting Catholic mission and values.
• Background checks and Safe Environment training required.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and activities provided by the classroom teacher.
• Provide instruction and support according to plans and school expectations.
• Supervise students in classrooms and common areas as assigned.
• Maintain a positive, orderly, respectful, and faith-centered environment.
• Encourage appropriate behavior aligned with school expectations and Catholic values.
• Take attendance and maintain classroom records.
• Follow routines, schedules, and procedures of the regular teacher.
• Communicate with administration and staff regarding needs or incidents.
• Adapt to different grade levels and subjects as needed.
• Ensure student safety, supervision, and well-being at all times.
• Model professionalism, patience, respect, and Christian values.
• Support Catholic identity and mission through interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff.
• Follow all diocesan, school, health, safety, and emergency policies.
• Complete other duties as assigned by administration.
