Job summary

The Salvation Army Henderson Corps is seeking a Youth Worker to lead and support youth programs, including Sunday School, worship services, and after-school activities in Henderson, NV. The role requires experience with youth, Christian commitment, and strong organizational abilities within a church setting.

The successful candidate will coordinate activities with corps officers, manage volunteers, and ensure safety and positive representation of The Salvation Army in all programs and facilities.

Qualifications

• Two years experience working with children in a Corps/Church setting or a two year college degree in Youth Ministries or Christian Education.
• Must be a Christian with a strong personal commitment to Christ and comfortable discussing Christianity with children and adults.
• Experience with Salvation Army Christmas programs and knowledge of SA Policies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist youth programs including Sunday School classes and Sunday Morning Worship services.
• Coordinate fellowship times, visitation, Bible studies, outreach, and young adults ministries.
• Oversee After School during the week and Summer Day Camp; drive and coordinate for youth programs and events.
• Prepare and cook meals and snacks; coordinate attendance with parents and schools.
