LifeWise Academy in Ohio seeks a part-time substitute teacher to deliver LifeWise classes, implement provided lesson plans, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom aligned with LifeWise policies.

The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of ambassadorial outreach within the community and of coordinating with volunteers and the classroom teacher.

Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly). Employment Type: Part-Time.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance records for each class
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
