Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a substitute teacher in Westerville, OH who is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring and perceptive, and proficient in teaching students.

You will complete substitute teacher training, teach LifeWise classes as needed, implement provided lesson plans, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, and communicate with the lead teacher and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith, aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom per LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and report to the teacher.
• Keep a clean and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador within the community and communicate plans with volunteers.
• Communicate with the teacher regarding lesson plans and duties.
