Job summary

Special Kids in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking an enthusiastic Kids Activity Leader to organize recreational activities for children in the Skilled Nursing program and support outpatient patients. Part-time role, 20-29 hours per week, with no evenings or weekends.

You will design and implement activities, lead Bible study, work closely with nurses and therapists, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment in a Christian nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood, child development, or related field preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Work experience in similar environment is preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs and implements recreational activities for patients.
• Leads group Bible study and prayer as assigned.
• Works with nurses, therapists and administrators to support patients.
• Maintains a clean, safe, structured environment and sanitizes equipment.
• Reports changes or observations of children’s condition to nurse.
• Assists with transfers, ambulation and personal care as needed.
