Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from NLN accredited institution.
• One to two years related experience and/or training desired; pediatric experience preferred.
• Active Tennessee State RN license and CPR certification.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises nursing activities for the assigned shift.
• Creates daily work assignments for staff according to census, acuity and facility needs.
• Completes and documents initial assessments for new patients enrolled in the Skilled Nursing program.
• Provides daily head-to-toe assessment of assigned patients, including vital signs, and documents in EHR.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, and documents administration in EHR.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients and assists with daily activities.
• Notifies supervisor/physician of patient condition and responses to drugs/treatments.
• Responds to medical emergencies and coordinates team response.
• Participates in department training and meetings.
