Job summary

Hume Lake Christian Camps is seeking a Grounds & Facility Maintenance Assistant to maintain lawns, gardens, trails, and grounds across the camp property. You will safely operate lawn and grounds equipment, perform seasonal upkeep, and assist with snow removal to keep facilities welcoming for guests and staff.

The role requires landscaping experience, a valid driver’s license, a team-oriented attitude, and the ability to live in on-site housing or arrange private accommodations.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be a team player, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Friendly, service-oriented attitude toward guests and staff.
• Must be able to live in available on-site housing or provide private accommodations.
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all seasons, including extreme weather and high-altitude conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, trails, and grounds with mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, and upkeep.
• Perform routine upkeep of roads, walkways, and public areas; report issues promptly.
• Assist with snow removal and winter-weather preparedness.
• Safely operate lawn and grounds equipment and report malfunctions.
