Job summary

LiveOnNY is seeking a Faith-Based Community Liaison in New York to advance organ, eye, and tissue donation awareness within faith communities. You will build relationships with faith leaders, organize interfaith events, and deliver culturally sensitive education while traveling as needed.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years in community organizing with diverse groups; healthcare exposure is preferred. The role supports the marketing team and collaborates with hospital partners as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–3 years of related experience in community organizing and faith-based relationship building.
• Experience in healthcare and/or patient navigation preferred.
• Experience working with people of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, religious affiliations, sexual orientations, and gender identities strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute grassroots engagement activities targeting faith communities, including presentations, interfaith forums, and events at houses of worship.
• Deliver culturally and religiously appropriate educational programs that promote donation awareness.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with faith leaders, congregations, and interfaith organizations to support departmental initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison between LiveOnNY and faith-based partners, reinforcing organizational messaging and values.
• Assist in planning and logistics for faith-focused outreach programs and events.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create educational resources tailored to faith communities.
• Work closely with supervisors and other team members to ensure consistent delivery of outreach strategies.
• Provide feedback from faith-based engagements to inform program improvements and future planning.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work outside of normal business office hours is required.
• This role may also be expected to assist Family Support Advocates on an as-needed basis.
