Job summary

Gesa Credit Union is seeking a Fair Lending Compliance Lead to develop, administer, and monitor the Credit Union's Fair Lending Program across residential real estate, consumer, commercial, and small-business lending. You will work closely with lending units to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, providing guidance and risk mitigation across the organization.

You will lead risk assessments, data analysis, and reporting, acting as a subject matter expert for HMDA, Regulation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4 or 8 years of banking/credit union experience in fair lending accepted in lieu of degree
• Compliance certification required (e.g., CRCM, CRCP, CUCE, NCCO, CUCS)
• Some travel may be required for training or professional development

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and maintain a sustainable Fair Lending Program, including documentation and reporting
• Partner with lending units to identify compliance risks in products and processes
• Design and execute fair lending risk assessments, data analysis, and file reviews
• Administer fair lending software; analyze reports and support timely reporting
• Prepare periodic reports for executive leadership and governance groups
• Serve as a SME for lending-related laws (HMDA, Reg Z, RESPA, FCRA, ECOA, FHA)
• Coordinate audits and examinations; monitor corrective actions through resolution
• Review marketing materials for compliance with federal/state requirements
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to impacted departments

Education

Bachelor’s degree and four (4) or eight (8) years of banking or credit union experience in the area or fair lending or lending areas would be accepted in lieu of a degree

One (1) or more compliance certification required (e.g., CRCM, CRCP, CUCE, NCCO, or CUCS)
