Job summary

Wolfspeed in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a failure analysis laboratory technician to support customer returns, new product introduction, and continuous improvement for SiC MOSFETs and Schottky diodes. You will perform electrical testing, nondestructive imaging, deprocessing, cross sectioning and fault location to identify root causes and collaborate with teams to drive solutions.

On-site collaboration with engineers and Durham/Fayetteville teams is expected.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or better in physics, chemistry, materials science or engineering or related field or equivalent fa lab experience.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor process technology and device functionality.
• Strong soft skills including technical writing, verbal communication, technical presentations and multitasking.
• Able to work in the lab for up to 8 hours per day in close proximity with others, including handling hazardous processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification and fabrication of prototype systems.
• Performs hands-on electrical testing and fault isolation on semiconductor components and systems.
• Develops and documents CSAM, de-processing and cross-section/polish procedures; writes controlled procedures.
• Assists in lab safety, chemical hygiene, waste disposal, ESD, 5S and tool ownership.
• Collaborates with Durham and Fayetteville failure analysis teams on root-cause investigations.
