Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking a Test Bench Development Engineer in the United States to design, develop, and deploy advanced test benches validating SiC power module performance, reliability and durability. You will collaborate with Reliability, Product, and Applications teams to translate testing objectives into robust hardware, software, and instrumentation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in electrical hardware design.
• Experience designing multilayer analog and mixed-signal PCBs.
• Circuit simulation tools such as LTspice or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with electronic lab instrumentation.
• Experience debugging hardware at board and system levels.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced test benches for reliability validation.
• Collaborate with Reliability, Product, and Applications Engineering teams.
• Own hardware development lifecycle from schematic to release.
• Create schematics and multilayer PCB layouts in Altium Designer.
• Run circuit simulations to validate designs and optimize performance.
• Develop analog, mixed-signal, and power circuitry for accuracy and stability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, mechanical, and instrumentation issues.
• Support test execution, commissioning, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain technical documentation and design packages.
• Identify new technologies and automation to enhance testing.
