Job summary

Seton Hall University invites applications for the Faculty Services Librarian and Assistant Professor of Law (non-tenure) position. The Rodino Center's team supports faculty research and teaching with robust reference services and instructional duties.

The role includes a minimum teaching load of two classes per academic year and multiple in-class research presentations, alongside coordination of library services for law faculty.

Qualifications

  • Experience with legal research materials, techniques and strategies.
  • Experience teaching legal research in classroom or professional settings.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with others on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches legal research courses as part of the law school curriculum; manages course, assessment, grading, and student advising.
  • Coordinates and promotes library services to law faculty; manages complex faculty research projects.
  • Maintains regular contact with law faculty to align research/teaching needs.
  • Supervises law library research assistants; trains student researchers.
  • Onboards new faculty with library services/resources; participates in collection development.
