Qualifications

• J.D. degree from ABA-approved law school and MLS/MLIS or significant graduate coursework towards such a degree.
• Experience in an academic law library and in providing instructional support.

Responsibilities

• provide sophisticated research and reference assistance to DSOL faculty
• provide legal research instruction to DSOL students and faculty via workshops and guest lectures
• provide research assistance to DSOL faculty and their research assistants
• teach for-credit courses in the law school curriculum, including, but not limited to, Legal Research
• serve as the liaison to the faculty to develop programming and provide services
• develop instructional and scholarship assistance to faculty
• oversee research assistants
• support current awareness and emerging technologies
• contribute to the Law Library s strategic initiatives
• participate in the planning and implementation of new Law Library programs and procedures
• serve on faculty committees as appointed by the Dean
• attend faculty meetings other mandatory events for faculty
• participate in the DSOL community by attending events and providing support to student activities
• meet all other requirements of the faculty as set forth in the DSOL Appendix to the LMU Employee Handbook
• other duties as assigned
