Job summary

University of California, San Francisco invites applications for a Faculty Radiochemist. The selected candidate will be appointed at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the In Residence or Adjunct series depending on qualifications and interests.

The candidate will work with UCSF Radiology and Biomedical Imaging and other departments to advance development of molecular imaging agents, from tracer development to first-in-man studies, and to establish an externally funded

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field.
• At least two years postdoctoral or equivalent research experience.
• Evidence of external research funding as PI or collaborator.
• Expertise in radiochemistry and related experimental methods.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to teaching, mentorship and collaborative research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advance molecular imaging agents from tracer development to first-in-man studies.
• Establish and maintain a nationally recognized, externally funded research program.
• Mentor students and postdoctoral researchers.
• Collaborate with faculty and other departments; teach residents, fellows, and students.
• Participate in departmental, university and professional service activities.
