Job summary

Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM) invites applications for a Faculty position in Osteopathic Principles & Practices / Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM/OMM). The role involves developing and delivering the OMM curriculum across OMS I–IV at the MSOM campus in Hagerstown, MD.

Collaborate with the Chair of OMM/NMM on curriculum design, assessment, and scholarly activity while mentoring medical students and advancing osteopathic education in a new Maryland medical school.

Qualifications

• D.O. degree from an accredited osteopathic medical school.
• Minimum of three years of teaching and academic leadership in osteopathic medical education.
• Full‑time teaching experience at discipline/ department level in higher education.
• ABMS or AOA board certification in NMM/OMM.
• Active medical license and commitment to osteopathic education standards.

Responsibilities

• Teaches in pre-clinical and clinical OMM curriculum for OMS I–IV.
• Provides instruction in skills training and osteopathic manipulative treatment.
• Contributes to curriculum design, assessment, and program evaluation.
• Engages in scholarly activity including research and presentations.
• Mentors students and promotes osteopathic medical education values.
• Supports departmental initiatives and institutional mission.
