Job summary

Kansas Health Science University invites applications for a role teaching Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM/NMM) and integrating Osteopathy into the four-year KansasCOM curriculum. The position supports multiple biomedical courses, distance learning, and other pedagogies.

The incumbent will supervise students, assist in remediation, and contribute to accreditation efforts. Experience in OMM and curriculum development is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Board eligible/certified DO or MD with appropriate training and skills.
• Clinical experience practicing OMT within their specialty.
• Graduate of an accredited College of Osteopathic Medicine or LCME.
• Curricular and teaching experience, learner supervision and evaluation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Be able to learn course management software/distance learning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Teach in assigned courses and integrate OMM/NMM into the curriculum.
• Assist in curricular review and advancement with Course Directors and Dean.
• Advise students and support progression toward graduation; assist re-testing/remediation as needed.
• Assist in faculty hiring and participate in peer evaluation of faculty.
• Engage in student interviewing, mentorship, and career counseling; foster a positive culture.
• Participate in accreditation-related document creation and data collection.
