Introduction

Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD) is a diverse, bilingual community that, in partnership with families, provides an equitable and exemplary education in a nurturing, engaging, and challenging environment to ensure our students achieve personal excellence and become lifelong learners. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join us in educating the children at MSD.

Main Purpose of Job
To develop and implement a bilingual educational program for Deaf students in a language-accessible environment and provide an enriched bicultural environment conducive to the social and emotional development of Deaf students. To provide a language-enriched environment through sign language and printed words to meet the varied needs of Deaf students.

Benefits
Contractual employees working 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and dependents, paying 25% of the premiums. The State of Maryland subsidizes the remaining 75%. Additional benefits include dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, for which employees are responsible for full premiums. Leave is granted at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours per year.
