Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for the Director of Faculty Development in the School of Social Work. This 12-month, on-site academic leader will design, implement, and evaluate faculty development initiatives, lead annual evaluations, and support promotion and tenure processes across ranks.

• PhD in social work or related field and MSW from CSWE-accredited program are required.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible academic leadership in higher education.
• Experience with faculty development, mentoring, evaluation, and personnel processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead faculty development initiatives across the School of Social Work and support career advancement.
• Oversee annual faculty evaluation processes with transparency and fairness.
• Develop orientation and professional growth programs for all ranks.
• Support tenure- and non-tenure-track faculty through promotion processes.
• Engage in CSWE accreditation-related assessment and reporting.
