Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas-Fort Worth seeks a Departmental Coordinator to oversee faculty appointments, reappointments, evaluations, and promotions within a large neurology department.

Role requires frequent campus-wide movement, collaboration with the Dean's office, and coordination of onboarding, credentialing, and staff supervision. Expected Start Date after October 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in medical, scientific, or health care environment.
• An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate faculty recruitment activities, including posting positions and interviews.
• Manage faculty administrative processes: evaluations, promotions, and tenure reviews.
• Track and report faculty data for department and institutional reporting.
• Provide backup support for onboarding, credentialing, and systems access.
• Train and supervise staff, and support faculty committees.
