Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Manager of Factory Test Engineering & Validation to lead the end-to-end testing lifecycle for lab-scale cells, product cells, and battery modules. You will build and scale the validation lab, drive SOPs, and ensure data integrity to inform manufacturing decisions.

You will lead a high-impact team, establish test stands, and coordinate with Quality, Reliability, and Manufacturing to maintain high uptime at our Weirton facility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in a hardware test, validation, or manufacturing lab environment.
• Proven track record of standing up new hardware test infrastructure from scratch, including SOP development and commissioning.
• Hands-on systems engineering mindset with ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or data collection issues.
• Deep focus on operational rigor, uptime, maintenance, and data traceability standards.
• Strong cross-functional communication bridging test operations, quality engineering, and factory manufacturing teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and scale a versatile team of engineers and technicians across test execution and teardown/analysis.
• Commission and bring up new hardware test stands, thermal chambers, and lab equipment from zero to fully qualified status.
• Maximize test throughput and uptime by resolving equipment, staffing, and operational bottlenecks.
• Ensure data integrity and traceability so lab outputs inform manufacturing control plans and design changes.
• Lead post-test teardowns and root-cause investigations to enable engineering improvements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Reliability, Manufacturing, and Test Infrastructure to align cadence with production schedules.
