Job summary

ABB is seeking a Factory Project Controller for its 38kV Switchgear manufacturing in Houston, TX. The role leads mid-size projects ($500K–$5M), coordinating across teams to deliver contractual deliverables while ensuring alignment with ABB standards and procedures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Electrification, Manufacturing, or Project Management, with strong MS Office and SAP skills, and is able to travel about 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Electrification, Manufacturing or Project Management.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and knowledge in power systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP and related software.
• Willingness to travel ~5% and work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the proposal team to review orders from a technical and commercial standpoint during order entry.
• Act as primary contact for all order‑related matters with stakeholders outside the factory; manage the full order cycle.
• Monitor and control project financials, invoicing status, costs, expenses and cash flow; resolve disputes.
