Job summary

Danfoss in Tallahassee, FL seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer- Factory Logistics to optimize material flow from receiving to shipping. You will drive Lean initiatives, improve inventory accuracy, and lead automation projects to boost productivity.

You will collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Planning, Procurement, and Quality to implement scalable solutions and measurable cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, industrial engineering, factory logistics, or warehouse operations.
• Proven ability to analyze and improve material flow, inventory management, and production logistics.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement; data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and data analysis tools; collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead factory logistics improvement initiatives to optimize material flow, reduce waste, improve inventory accuracy, and ensure reliable delivery of materials to production.
• Design and implement warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and line replenishment processes to boost efficiency and support growth.
• Drive automation projects involving AGVs, AMRs, fleet management, and smart factory technologies.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Production Planning on new product introductions, transfers, expansions, and transformations.
• Apply data analytics and lean methods to identify opportunities, deliver cost savings, and sustain safe, high-performing operations.
