Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking an HR Manager for our Laurel manufacturing site. You will lead the HR function on site, balancing strategic guidance with hands-on partnership with the Factory Manager and department leaders.

You will drive employee relations, policy development, performance and talent management, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. This role partners with HQ HR to support factory initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR required.
• Minimum 5–7 years of general HR experience.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations for the Laurel factory, balancing strategic and tactical HR support.
• Provide HR guidance to the Factory Manager, department managers, and employees.
• Consult with managers to identify gaps and develop HR solutions that improve effectiveness.
• Design skills-pay matrices and frontline supervisor programs for talent management.
• Conduct investigations, propose follow-up actions, and ensure compliant resolutions.
• Develop policies and guidelines to proactively support factory compliance and business needs.
• Translate short- and long-term operating goals into HR processes and projects.
