Job summary

Nox Metals in Detroit, MI or Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Operations Systems Product Manager to own the software that controls inventory, planning, production, and shipping on the factory floor.

You will observe how work flows in real production, translate observations into reliable systems, and drive adoption through thoughtful design, clear documentation, and collaboration with engineers and operators.

• Experience translating factory workflows into usable software.
• Ability to map work and information flow on the shop floor.
• Strong collaboration with engineers and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for inventory, planning, production, quality, and shipping workflows.
• Observe operators directly and map how work actually happens.
• Define requirements, exceptions, and success metrics with engineering and operations.
• Prioritize improvements based on safety, reliability, throughput, and delivery impact.
• Design workflows that remain clear during unusual or high-pressure situations.
• Lead product delivery from discovery through rollout and adoption.
• Measure system usage and operational performance after launch.
• Maintain clear documentation and decision history.
• Coordinate changes across software, training, process, and equipment.
• Build trust with users by responding quickly when systems fail.
