Job summary

Polymer Concepts Technologies, Inc. seeks a Factory Controller to partner with site leadership and drive financial planning, analysis, and performance management for the Elgin facility. You will oversee P&L, cost control, and working capital, delivering insights and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

The role supervises onsite finance staff and collaborates with ROW operations to ensure consistency with corporate standards and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, controlling, or accounting roles.

Job description

The Factory Controller serves as the financial business partner to site leadership, supporting manufacturing and commercial operations through financial planning, analysis, and performance management.

This role is responsible for overseeing site-level financial performance, including profit and loss (P&L), cost control, and working capital optimization, while driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.

In addition, this role provides leadership and oversight of site and remote finance personnel, ensuring alignment, accountability, and consistency across financial operations.

Essential Job Functions

• Serve as the finance lead for the Elgin facility, supporting both manufacturing and commercial operations.
• Partner with site leadership to monitor and drive performance across P&L, including revenue, cost, and profitability metrics.
• Leadfinancialplanningprocesses,includingannualbudgeting,quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial close activities.
• Perform product, customer, and channel profitability analysis to support pricing, sales strategy, and margin optimization.
• Drive working capital improvements, including inventory management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable optimization.
• Develop and maintain standard costing processes, including annual standard cost updates and variance analysis.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend corrective or proactive actions to leadership.
• Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives across operations and supply chain functions.
• Provide financial modeling and return on investment (ROI) analysis for business decisions, capital investments, and customer opportunities.
• Participate as an active member of the site leadership team, providing financial insights and challenging assumptions to improve business outcomes.
• Support development and administration of sales targets, incentive programs, and performance tracking metrics.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial reporting in accordance with Company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Drive process improvements, including digitalization and standardization of financial and operational reporting.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly manage onsite Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel at the Elgin facility.
• Provide leadership and oversight to a Senior Accountant supporting ROW operations, ensuring alignment with Company financial standards and processes.
• Establish clear performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback, and support development of finance team members.
• Ensure consistency in financial processes, reporting, and controls across supported locations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 7–10 years ofprogressive experience infinancial analysis,controlling, or accounting roles.
• Experiencesupportingbothmanufacturingandcommercialoperations environments.
• Prior experience leading or supervising accounting or finance personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with standard costing and inventory accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central or similar).
• Experience supporting multi-site or matrixed organizations.

Physical Requirements
