Job summary
JST CORPORATION seeks a Software Engineering Manager to drive software development for factory automation in Guntersville, AL. Lead AMR deployment, control systems, and MES/ERP integrations across the manufacturing floor.
You will guide a high‑performing team, own software standards, and collaborate with Production, Quality, IT, and Engineering to ensure secure, scalable solutions. Candidates should have 7+ years in software engineering, with 3+ in leadership, and a strong robotics/automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; Master’s preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers, automation engineers, and integration specialists.
- Define and execute the software strategy for factory automation with AMR focus.
- Oversee MES/ERP integrations (Priority, SAP, Oracle) and quality systems.
- Develop interfaces for PLCs, robotic systems, sensors, and automation equipment.
- Ensure secure data collection, visualization, and analytics for OEE and predictive maintenance.
- Partner with Production, Quality, IT, and Engineering teams.
- Provide leadership in AI/ML, IoT, digital twins, and cloud integration (Azure/AWS).
- Manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
