Job summary

ATG Entertainment USA is seeking Facility Technicians in San Antonio, TX to support venue preparation and event operations across indoor and outdoor theatre spaces. This role reports to the Assistant Property and Facilities Manager and involves duties before, during, and after performances.

Responsibilities include venue setup, marquee changes, cleaning tasks with PPE, assisting departments, and handling patron issues.

Qualifications

  • Existing knowledge of ATG policies and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of maintenance and repair.
  • Basic understanding of electrical distribution.
  • Familiarity with venue layout and seating.
  • Ability to read event advance documents, event times and operational needs.

  • Prepare set ups per event advance; set up tables, merch display, signage.
  • Deliver Playbills/programs to the theatre when required.
  • Assist other departments as directed by a supervisor.
  • Respond to venue/patron issues with sensitivity.
  • Set up & break down vendor displays, bike rack, station, security tables, bollards and metal detectors.
  • Perform general duties as assigned.

About The Position

The Facility Technicians, reporting to the Assistant Property and Facilities Manager, assists in venue preparation prior, during, and after the event.

  • Assist in preparing the venue for opening
  • Changing the marquee following each performance
  • Venue cleanup of trash and bio fluids as needed, using personal protective equipment
  • Walking venue inside/out to sweep and clean or direct cleaning team, as needed
  • Prepare set ups as outlined in event advance; set up tables, merch display, signage
  • Confirm receipt of and deliver Playbills/programs to the theatre when required
  • Assist other departments when necessary and as directed by a supervisor
  • Respond to a wide range of venue/patron issues with sensitivity and care
  • Setting up & breaking down of vendor displays, bike rack, station, security tables, bollards and metal detectors
  • General duties as assigned
PEOPLE, PLACES, and THINGS
  • The position will work across the ATG-San Antonio venues, the Majestic Theatre, Charline McCombs Empire Theatre and The Espee at St. Paul Square.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with ATG San Antonio departments (Property & Facilities, General Management, Production, Front of House, Ticketing/Box Office, Marketing, Food & Beverage), and outside vendors/partners/patrons.
EXPERIENCE And SKILLS
  • Existing knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the following:
  • ATG policies and procedures
  • Basic understanding of overall Maintenance and repair.
  • Basic understanding of electrical distribution
  • Venue layout and seating
  • Event advance document, Event times and operational needs
COMPETENCIES
  • Must be able to multi-task and respond effectively in time sensitive environment.
  • The physical requirements of the position include heavy lifting and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Work outside (The Espee is an outdoor amphitheater, and The Majestic & Empire Theatres are indoors)
  • The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to work independently while exercising judgement and initiative.
