Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations maintenance associate to oversee the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of facility systems including ASRS, dock equipment, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with NFPA 70/70E, and efficient preventative maintenance.

The candidate will perform building maintenance, logging activities in CMMS, and support refrigeration duties. Travel between sites may be required, and on-call responsibilities are possible.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Comfort with basic maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate adherence to work safety policies and governing requirements.
• Understand controls and electrical safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70/70E).
• Perform electrical meter testing and PLC troubleshooting.
• Complete small welding projects as needed.
• Handle general building maintenance: carpentry, painting, plumbing, lighting repairs.
• Maintain facility assets via preventive maintenance and inspections (roofs, paving).
• Inspect and repair Dock equipment, ASRS, and related systems.
• Log time and materials into CMMS daily with work orders and PMs.
• Support refrigeration operator duties including ePSM inspections and logs.
• Participate in on-call programs and ensure tools/equipment are safe and available.
